Audits

A practical place to begin.

If you know something is not working but are not yet sure what needs changing, start with an audit. It is small, focused and honest — and it ends with the two or three things worth doing first.

How an audit works

You should never have to commit to a big project to find out whether this is useful.

I look at one area properly, talk to the people carrying it, and write up what I find in plain language: what is working, what is not, and what I would do first. You keep the findings whether or not we work together again.
